Since starting to building bamboo bicycle frames in 2003, I have crafted dozens of bamboo bicycles mostly for own riding and testing. Based on the excellent experiences and consistent results I have had with my own bamboo bicycles, I have developed the B8 series of bamboo frames with geometry suitable for road, city, cross or trekking pursuits. The frame is designed for MTB cranksets and so offers the possibility of using wider tyres. While still handmade by me, they are now finally are available for sale having passed the stringent EN 14764:2006 quality & safety standard.

The bamboo poles for the frames are well processed, at least 5 years old, harvested in China at an altitude of 1500 meters and carefully selected for each frame. The bamboo is connected with the carbon joints using a unique and proven method of joining.
Again, the bamboo frames have passed safety and quality tests according the EN 14764:2006 standard. The certificate was issued by the accredited testing laboratory TSU in Piestany, Slovakia.
